Our third The Space Between event attracted 75+ to Wolfville, NS. Percussionists came from across the country as well as from several locations the U.S to explore the intersection of research and performance on percussion.
A unique opportunity to advance the percussive arts in Canada
Our third gathering connected percussionists from across North America. With keynote presentations on recording technology, lecture-demonstrations, research posters, and multiple concerts, this two day event proved as artistic as it was informative. By bringing percussionists to a part of the country which is less populated than our first to TSB events in Montreal (QC) and Hamilton (ON), it demonstrates CPN’s commitment to improving accessibility and access to the arts.
We are grateful for financial support from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), McMaster Faculty of Humanities, and Acadia University which allowed us to offer this event free of charge to participants and attendees.
